Background
During the COVID pandemic, the supply of many components for the FireBrick 2900 hardware was heavily disrupted. This necessitated careful decisions being made about the advanced purchase of volumes of some components, with little guarantee of lead times. Also, purchase in higher volumes was felt to make actual receipt of parts more likely, and sooner.
As a consequence, we placed orders (and paid) for a large number of some components.
The deliveries of these pre-ordered component parts only concluded during 2024, and then the build process ran throughout the year. As a consequence we now hold slightly more stock of FB2900s than we regard as optimal. We have "caught up".
We also recognise, candidly, that we benefit from there being more FB2900s out in the wild, being used in a variety of interesting and unexpected situations. The greatest impediment to sales of FireBricks is simply that people have not heard of it; there is really no better way to raise awareness than simply for a greater number of people to be out there tinkering with these devices; either experimentally, or deployed in live situations.

We intend to run this offer until the last day of April 2025, though we may withdraw it earlier. The aim is not to clear our stock; it is simply to reduce the amount of stock we are currently holding to a more optimal level.
